Results of the EN40CNP special callsign
Results of EN40CNP First of all, I want to thank our team: Serhii UX2CT, Yevhen UR0UE and Petro UR3PKI, who put in every effort to organise the callsign and work on the air, and Leonid UT3UTX and Kostiantyn UT2UCN for their moral support. Over two weeks of activity from 18 to 30 April we made 1565 QSOs with 111 countries in SSB, CW and FT8. At weekends we even gathered hour-long pile-ups on SSB on 20 m.
In general, the idea did not come up spontaneously — it was planned back before the New Year. Accordingly, we applied for this special callsign well in advance. The initial goal was a mini-expedition to the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone on the memorial dates, but because of the combat situation we were unable to get permission for the expedition, so we switched to plan B — working from home QTHs. Here, too, things did not go as smoothly as we would have liked — Andrii UT3UUE, who planned to work actively on VHF, had the cable to his antenna cut by a piece of a Shahed and dropped out, so other team members had to pick up those bands as well. Petro wrote a very convenient chatbot for us in which we checked in when we went on the air, so our activity was reflected on the qrz.com page. We want to thank everyone who answered the general call, and see you on the air!
