Earlier we spoke about the help from the Swedish club SK7RN in the form of boxes of equipment. Well, all this equipment is already finding its new owners — children's and youth club stations, clubs and sports schools. The UX6FZZ team was chosen for a reason: it is the most active children's club station thanks to its tireless leader Mykola Lavretsia UX0FF. The club was given an HF transceiver, several handhelds and other pleasant bonuses. And this is only the beginning :)
P.S. If you are a leader of a club station or a group — contact the admins with a request, we will be glad to help!

...at the generosity of radio amateurs from all over the country who are handing equipment to our friends in Ukraine. And they even cover great distances to deliver it to Operation Change. In the photo the head of Op-Change, Göran Skoglund, receives this week's «harvest» in Sollentuna from, among others, SM5FXK/Ulf and SMØEOQ/Bo. Great thanks to you and to all the other donors, not least those who handed the shipment to the terminal in Nybro via SM7OHE/Rolf in Färjestaden.
By the way, I heard that the first pallet of radio equipment is already at the border with Ukraine.
But radio clubs in Ukraine have great needs, so take a look at how you too can help.

The on-air operation was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chornobyl NPP tragedy and organised by the UARO NGO as part of the Chornobyl-40 award programme.
Over two weeks (from 18 to 30 April) we made 1565 QSOs with 111 countries in SSB, CW and FT8. At weekends we even gathered hour-long pile-ups on 20 m! 🌍
At first we planned a mini-expedition to the Exclusion Zone, but because of the fighting we could not get permission, so we worked to plan B — from home QTHs.
Special respect to Petro (UR3PKI) for the convenient chatbot that instantly reflected our activity on the qrz.com page.

Our team:
🔹 Serhii UX2CT
🔹 Yevhen UR0UE
🔹 Vitalii UT0UI
🔹 Kostiantyn UT2UCN
🔹 Petro UR3PKI

All logs are uploaded to LoTW and QRZ.

Thank you to everyone who answered the general call.

SM0AVX Tommy from Järfälla was the first to respond to our appeal for donations to Ukraine and arrived at Operation Change in Sollentuna with radio equipment. Tommy brought, among other things, a Heathkit SB-101 HF transceiver, a Tektronix oscilloscope, a rotator and a few other items. In the photo he has just unloaded them on the loading ramp. Tommy is also one of the most active members of the SK7RN CW group.

Thank you for your efforts, Tommy. I hope many others will follow your example and pass on their unused equipment to radio friends in Ukraine.

All the equipment will be handed over to the UARO radio club at KPI.

Results of EN40CNP
First of all, I want to thank our team: Serhii UX2CT, Yevhen UR0UE and Petro UR3PKI, who put in every effort to organise the callsign and work on the air, and Leonid UT3UTX and Kostiantyn UT2UCN for their moral support. Over two weeks of activity from 18 to 30 April we made 1565 QSOs with 111 countries in SSB, CW and FT8. At weekends we even gathered hour-long pile-ups on SSB on 20 m.

In general, the idea did not come up spontaneously — it was planned back before the New Year. Accordingly, we applied for this special callsign well in advance.
The initial goal was a mini-expedition to the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone on the memorial dates, but because of the combat situation we were unable to get permission for the expedition, so we switched to plan B — working from home QTHs.
Here, too, things did not go as smoothly as we would have liked — Andrii UT3UUE, who planned to work actively on VHF, had the cable to his antenna cut by a piece of a Shahed and dropped out, so other team members had to pick up those bands as well.
Petro wrote a very convenient chatbot for us in which we checked in when we went on the air, so our activity was reflected on the qrz.com page.
We want to thank everyone who answered the general call, and see you on the air!

On 3 November 2025 the online founding meeting of the UARO NGO took place. The event was an important milestone in shaping the organisation's structure and defining the directions of its development.

On the agenda:
— new members were admitted to the organisation;
— the structure of departments was approved and heads appointed:
IT and digital transformation — Petro UR3PKI
Sport — Serhii UX2CT
Education and youth work — Kostiantyn UT2UCN
SMM — Luiza UR1CED
Community Relations (engagement with the community and its coordination) —
Andrii UR5LLL, Serhii UR5KET / OK8KET, Artem UW5EOW, Ihor UT0UG, Serhii UR3QJ

Copyright:
All materials created by members of the NGO remain the property of their authors. Transfer of property rights is possible only with written consent. This decision protects each participant's intellectual work while upholding the principle of openness.

Club radio station:
We have come a long way to this — and now we are one step closer to our dream. Our own club radio station «Ukrainian Amateur Radio Operators» is being set up at the Educational and Research Institute of Telecommunication Systems of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It will become a place for meetings, learning and joint work on technical and amateur radio projects. New ideas will be born here, young operators will grow, and the community we are all proud of will take shape.

UARO continues to develop educational, technical and communication initiatives, uniting Ukrainian radio amateurs around modern technology and shared goals.
